No interactive resistance on e-motion smart rollers

I'm having an odd issue with my e-motion smart rollers by insideride. The rollers utilize a Qubo smart b+ resistance unit. Everything has worked flawlessly for the last 3 months. When using Zwift the resistance would adjust as expected when going uphill. Now there is nothing. The unit is still functioning in that it sends out power values through the ANT+, but resistance doesn't change. When I use the Elite MyTraining app I'm able to connect to the unit, see the watts I am producing, but when I adjust resistance levels there is no change.

The other oddity is on startup. When the unit is plugged in it no longer makes the tell-tale growl sound as in initiates and sets the magnets. It's almost like something is stuck.

Any idea?
