Elite real axiom overheat

Hi
I bought a wired elite real axiom secondhand and am finding that after about ten minutes of good power at about 3-400 Watts the whole unit gets super hot including the roller and it appears to even be damaging the trainer tire. The unit gives off a smell like melted plastic. If I stop the course I’m doing and spin for a couple of minutes it cools enough so I can do about another minute of good power but this seems a silly way to train. Any ideas about how to fix this? Is there a firmware upgrade that can prevent this or is the fan in the unit broken or something? Any suggestions appreciated

Hi

Is it the old coils version of RealAxiom?
If it is so, it may be that the internal coils are breaking.
Can you post a photo of the trainer?
