Hi,
I've had my Direto for several years and have never had to perform a firmware update—until now, that is.
Using the Upgrado app, I have successfully updated to Firmware V88 Hardware Revision 11.
Does anybody actually know what's included with this update? After lots of searching, I can't find a Changelog or any indication of what's been updated.

It's the virtual shifting support for Zwift.

Thank you - I was hoping that may be the case.
It may be the time to invest in the 'Cog and Click' Upgrade.

Just received the Zwift Cog and Click. But unfortunately can’t get Zwift to find it. I can pair it in the companion app. So I’m guessing the click is working and it’s just a case of my direto not being compatible despite the latest firmware

You mean Zwift can't find the trainer? Because the Cog itself isn't something that you pair.
Maie sure you are pairing the trainer over Bluetooth (virtual shifting won't work over ANT+) and that the trainer is on the latest firmware.
Is your trainer a Direto XR?

Re: Direto Firmware v88
Hi Steve,
Zwift finds my trainer with no problem, it's just not recognising the 'Click' when I search under controls. I only use Bluetooth for my connections.
It looks like the problem is that I only have an early version of the Direto and not the XR. I guess I'm going to have to wait a little longer.

Yes, that's the problem then. Zwift won't pair the Click unless it can see a trainer that supports virtual shifting.
In this article from Elite, they say that virtual shifting is coming for several other trainers, including the Direto, in Spring 2025 (northern hemisphere since Elite are in Italy)

Re: Direto Firmware v88
Hi guys, I am planning to buy the Zwift Ride (frame) to use it with my Direto XR-T.
I ahve updated the trainer to the new version of the firmware V88.
Has anyone faced any issues regarding compatibility or connecting the trainer to the zwift app?
Thank you

Re: Direto Firmware v88
@jotaf.htc I’ve also updated to firmware v88 for my Direto XR-T and haven’t had major issues with Zwift pairing, but I did notice some inconsistencies in power readings—especially in apps like MyWhoosh, similar to what @domin26-77 described.
For Zwift specifically, everything pairs fine over Bluetooth, but make sure your trainer is fully recognized as a subway surfers "virtual shifting-compatible" unit. Zwift won’t detect the Click if it doesn’t see a compatible firmware/trainer combo (as @steve.hammatt pointed out).
If you’re running into issues with other apps showing odd wattage behavior (like drifting or sudden power jumps), it might be worth reaching out to Elite support or trying to revert to a previous firmware if you rely on multiple platforms.
