I’ve experienced the same problem this morning in after using the Direto for a month. Off by at least 50watts meaning I’m wasting my time working on intervals when I can’t even get near my threshold.
Extremely frustrating as I’m on an intensive training programme.
Have emailed Elite and now must wait for their response. Let’s see if they stand by this product but I’m going to be looking for another brand very short,y if this isn’t fixed ASAP!

Same problem, off by at least 70w on my Direto that I have been using for a month.
Will ask Elite to resolve this issue but I don’t have time to waste as am training intensively.
Might be time for a brand switch if this is a consistent issue.

HI

I have had my Direto for a couple of months, and after calibration it is measuring 50 watts lower than my Rotor Power Meter. I know my Rotor is correct, after comparison to many others. This is frustrating in Zwift!!! the calibration reading is 6402 with the number on the bottom being 6410. any help?

Guys,

I see that you've both solve the problem with our customer care. I'll share it here for other people.

@tjh,

in your case I see that it was necessary to recalibrate the trainer

@shanejohno01,

in your case it was necessary to tighten the belt

Just throwing this in to the discussion.
I too noticed about 20W lower.
I then upgraded the pedaling dynamics software and noticed a BIG difference between my left and right legs. My right is weaker due to an injury. With Stages measuring only the left leg I think this is where my problem is. Using the pedalling dynamics I managed to get a resemblance of equal power between the two legs which in turn corrected the difference between the two devices

Hello Admin Elite,

Thank you for this feedback,

But when do we know we have to adjust the belt?

With Direto, you have to check the offset you get at the end of calibration.
If it is more than 5 points lower than the original one, you have to tighten the belt.

Please, when you tighten the belt, do 1 turn at time of the guide pulley. No more. Then, check again the offset.
NEVER exceed the original value (otherwise, it means that you're tightening the belt too much and you risk to damage it).
