New Directo X right out of the box. Calibrated, no firmware upgrade required v.65 (or not according to the upgrade app) calibrated in Zwift with a spin down test. ERG mode - nope all over the place. interval at 120Watts quite happily letting me ride at 150-160, interval at 300 no change in resistance to keep me up at that level.

Please run my e-training and select level mode.
Pedal at constant speed and increase gradually the level.
Do you feel the resistance change or not?
