I think the issue is with the black wheel runner. It has too much axial play in the bearing and it doesn’t keep the belt running true on the flywheel. It eventually slips off the black wheel runner and jams in the flywheel.

I’ve even started calibrating mine on every ride and it still keeps falling off. I’ve just wrecked my second belt in as many years. I don’t just want to replace the belt and black wheel again as it’ll keep happening due to the poor design. This is very disappointing when you just want to get on it and ride.

What can be done about this? My trainer is out of warranty now. I’m beginning to wish I had sent it back the first time it did this so I could have got my money back within warranty...

I think there was some mention of greasing the belt.
Never do this or it will slip forever.

Hi Andrew

The procedure of greasing the belt is done only on the Drivo (and only the toothed belt).
Never do it on Direto!

After using my direto for a few years, the belt broke.

I ordered the belt kit with new tension wheel.

I mounted the belt just like the Elite video shows.
I did put the belt to tension just like the video shows.
I calibrated my device.

After riding a few minutes, my belt disconnected and is torn... there goes my 30 euros

What should i do now? If i buy new belts, will they keep disconnecting and brake?

It sounds like your old belt broke because of a specific problem that affects new belts too, and it wasn't just age. Contact Elite support.

Hello!
Please give me instructions what I need to do to make the trainer work right. I mean showing all parameters correctly (power, speed, distance). For the first time since purchase, I replaced the belt because it broke. After installation according to your instructions, my offset value is 6510, while the default value is 6388. I sent you photos of the trainer sticker and calibration. Please send me tips/steps that I need to do to update the new offset and the trainer measures power correctly.

Hi

It's normal to have an offset variation after replacing the belt.
Please follow the instructions you've received and keep the offset you get as your new reference.

Hi
Where can I get the instructions?
The new offset probably affects the power values. I compared it with the power meter in my crank and the difference is 10-20 W.
