The video of calibration is unavailable?

Even on Direto X you have to follow the same calibrations? and if you use it on erg mode but with Quarq PM, it is still needed?

Hi, using Garmin 820, I have some questions:

1) How can I calibrate the Elite direto?

2) How can I define the circumference of the wheel?

3) Erg mode is an automatic function? If I set an interval 240 - 260 watt for 5 min., the direto keep this power?

Mine shows a circumference of 2070 and is showing. 10-20 watts above what vercto 3, stages and 4iii show.
Any suggestion to have drivo 2 showing the correct power?

according to Elite support (19.07.2020) there is no strict limit:

"A difference of +/- 7/8 points is completely normal unless you don't notice something wrong with your trainer.
I suggest you to keep using your trainer without any worries and to contact us if you notice some problems with your Direto."

My Direto X has gone crazy in the last 2 weeks. Worked perfectly for 4 months.
First the spin down calibration was asking me to speed up to 54.6kph instead of the usual 20kph, would then spin down all the way to 0 and nothing would happen. It would always read 10-15 watts higher than 4iii and vector 3's
This afternoon i went through the same issues on Trainerroad but it somehow had a successful calibration in less than 1 second of spindown but was reading 50watts higher than my vector 3 pedals for a steady state recovery ride.

Anyone have any ideas on whats going on?

I have had my Direto for about 18 months. In all that time I have been unable to calibrate it. I have tried multiple times with the Android myETraining app but the calibration always fails in the same way :

"please start pedalling" - I do
"pedal faster to hit the target speed of 33 kmh" - I do
"please stop pedalling and wait for a response" - I do
"target speed was not reached, try again"

The app consistently does this and I have tried it on 3 different devices.

My 4iiii power meter reports ~ 30 watts less power than the Direto. I can and do calibrate my 4iiii. So the Direto looks to be vastly over reporting power. So I need to get it calibrated. Or else it goes on ebay.

Elite admins - please help me.

Hi David

If you do a normal training, speed seems correct?
Can you tell me which circumference value did you set in the configuration?

Regards

Yes - speeds seem normal during training, when on Zwift maybe slightly higher than I would expect in the real world.

Circumference is the default suggested by the app - 2070 I believe.

I looked at the youtube video for calibration of Direto - my Direto does not have any similar place to adjust belt tension - but the app QR scanner tells me it is a Direto (not some other variant).

And BTW - when asked by the app to speed up to 33 kmh, I can see a realtime output on the app showing me go over 33 kmh after which the dialog disappears and I am then told to stop pedalling. So the app thinks I got over 33 kmh by the looks of it.

David.
