Direto X all 3 lights flash at same time

Hi,
Only only my 3rd ride with the Direto X but having connectivity issues
I'm connected to my MacBook using BLE (also have ant+ but not using it to try and diagnose this problem). Despite pedalling my wattage and speed are very very low to the point where my rider stops on Zwift.
Then I'm greeted with 3 flashing lights on my direto X, all flashing at the same time. Then if I go back to pairing in zwift it says no signal. So what do the 3 flashing lights (including power) mean at the same time?
Any advice?! Should I run my device over built in Bluetooth on my Mac, or Ant+? Which is preferable?
