Direto increases resistance, drops in ERG and makes a noise

Hello!
My Direto which is about 8 months old just recently started making a horrible noise from the back of the unit whenever I turn it on (plug it in) or when it connects to Zwift. When I use it in Zwift free roam it will immediately ratchet up the resistance to where it feels like i'm going up a max grade hill. If I use it in ERG mode it does work - however it drops every 3:36 minutes when the resistance is the same. It will drop down to around 130ish watts and then fix it self back up. The time is very specific and very repetative.
Any suggestions or help? I've connected my trainer through both my computer and my Apple TV and i'm getting the same issue. I also have ran a power smoothing and a calibration test to no help.
