Direto x 142mm adaptor

Hi any advice on fitting through axle through adaptor. I've placed my bike canyon Al with 142mm on direto x fitting with appropriate adaptors. Unfortunately I can't slot by axle through. Any body else had similar problems. It seems ever so slightly too small
