Square frame and Justo virtual shifting in gradient simulation mode

Hi there I have been trying out the gradient simulation mode with my Justo and the Square but the virtual shifting doesn’t work on it.
How can I make it to work just like I did before with my real bike?
I do not like to train with ERG mode since it doesn’t replicate the real world at all and all the intervals I have done so far were on the gradient mode and I played with my gears to output the desired power intervals, but since the virtual shifting doesn’t work at all in this mode or at least I haven’t been able to make it work.
Any help is welcomed
