Cadence sensor

I have a Garmin speed/cadence sensor.
The application seems to recognize it since the cadence section shows as green.
But, when I ride I never see cadence numbers. It doesn't matter if it's on a Windows or Mac pc or an iPad.
Anyway to get this to work?
