Is a ramp test possible to estimate ftp

Hi, I see that people on the trainer road forum find a ramp test much easier and nearly as accurate as the 20min test that Elite offers. Do readers have any comments about this test and can it be done on the app? If not, is it something that would be worth adding to the app at some point?
