My wife and I both have disabilities, and as I have recently discovered how passionate I am about fitness, with her blessing I am looking into becoming a certified PT, ideally with specialization for people like us. NCSA and NASM both offer specialties which seem like they COULD help people with special needs, but which could just as easily be designed for able-bodied people who get temporarily injured. What would you recommend?
As a secondary question, for those who have worked in the special needs community, do you find that specialized programs such as Crossfit, Orange Theory, F45 etc. tend to be beneficial, or are multi-purpose big box gyms a better way to go?https://discord.software/ fetLife itunes
