Keeping in mind the end goal to abstain from utilizing windows for Update the maps for my Garmin nüvi 265w I have done as takes after:
- introduced wine
- introduced Firefox for Windows in wine
- introduced the garmin communicator module 2.9.2.0
No issues up to this point. Furthermore, when the gps is connected to through usb it does as a make a difference of actuality appear as .wine/dosdevices/h:
However, the communicator module does not remember it. Is there a workaround for this?
I have attempted google and the hunt work in this gathering, however all arrangements appear to prescribe windows in virtualbox, which I would rather keep away from. Or then again else softlinking/dev/ttyUSB - which does not exist in Ubuntu 10.04.
So any proposals would be valued
