Speed vs Watt

Postby kshepherds » Fri May 08, 2020 12:26 am

I own a Turno since a couple of weeks.
Everything works nearly fine.
One issue is, that I always have to re-enter my parameters in the app to choose bluetooth instead of Ant+. If I dont, it does not connect to my phone.

But the bigger and quite annoying issue is, that the watt output displayed might be quite right, but the speed is not correct at all. The speed is much to low. I need round about 400 watts to reach a speed of 30km/h.

I changed all the parameters (for example the riders weight) to stupid numbers (10kg riders weight...), but no changes.
It seems almost, that my speed output is in mp/h instead of km/h, but I checked this, it is not.

What can be wrong?

Hi

These are correct values for a Turno.
You have to consider that Turno is not a simulator. It has a power curve that grows up quickly compared to what you'd have on a real road.
It's a completely different approach.
Please look at this document to understand how to work with this kind of trainer (Turno, Turbo Muin, Kura..)
