Power smart B+ cadence variabilityvariability

Postby mol » Fri Dec 22, 2017 1:38 pm

Hi

After having issues with power and circumference for garmin which was fixed with the 94mm wheel size setup on Garmin I still have another problem with cadence and the issue exists on both Garmin and on Elite APP. The problem is when the speed starts going below 16.5 km/h the cadence drops all the time from 100 to 40 to 30 then back to 80 as the speed goes slows down the cadence is behaving even more strange. When the speed is above 16 or som the cadence is more constant. There are still drops but not that often. Any suggestions ?

Thanks
Alex

Hi

Misuro uses an algorithm to calculate cadence from microvariations of speed that happens when you give a pedal stroke.
This system works well in standard conditions (not too high cadence at low power, smooth pedaling, chain well tensed, not too slow speed...).
In some situation, the value may be not accurate.

If you want a very precise cadence, we suggest to use an external cadence sensor (bluetooth smart or ant+, depending on what is supported by your device)

Regards
