Elite Direto XR Random Resistance Spikes During Steady Workouts

Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone has experienced something similar with the Elite Direto XR.
Over the last few rides, I've noticed random resistance spikes even when I'm maintaining a steady cadence and using the same workout. It doesn't happen constantly, but every few minutes the trainer suddenly becomes much harder to pedal for several seconds before returning to normal.
Here's what I've already tried:
Updated the trainer to the latest firmware.
Performed a calibration/spindown.
Tested with both Bluetooth and ANT+.
Restarted the trainerDinosaur Game, cycling computer, and training app.
Checked that no other devices are connected simultaneously.
The issue appears in both ERG workouts and regular simulation mode, so I'm not sure whether it's a hardware problem or a software communication issue.
Could it be related to temperature, power fluctuations, or signal interference? I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has dealt with the same problem before replacing any parts.
