Hello everybody, I want to establish a bicycle simulator for research study and I will not use it with any bicycle apps(eg. Zwift). I would like to know if it is possible to connect these devices to my pc and read the signals instantaneously. In other words, I would like to use these devices like a joystick for gaming purposes. It would be great if you can contact me to talk about this project. Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Smart trainers and smart steering block

Hi
Our trainers use standard protocols (ant+ fe-c and BLE ftms), which are public. You can find the protocols on the net.
About Sterzo Smart things are different as there's an exclusive contract with Zwift about it, I'm sorry.

That sounds like an exciting project! Connecting smart trainers and steering blocks to your PC for a bicycle simulator could definitely open up some interesting possibilities for research. Have you looked into the APIs or SDKs provided by the manufacturers? They might offer the functionality you need to read the signals in real-time. I’d love to hear more about your progress!
