I got a reply from Elite and they said I should set the circumference to 2100 in the MyTraining app, based on a 700x24 tire

Dear All

i would need some help with the circumference of the wheel entry. I have 700x32c on my bike, which is in mm 2155. But in my elite training app there is mentioned 2070 and it seems that I cannot change this value...

Besides, I was trying to calibrate the trainer, but even after having spinned more than an hour, it doesn't seem to work. It gives no instructions except for 'start peddling' but then nothing happens...

some help would be grateful!
thanks a lot!

Helen.

Can you provide some insight for me. Do you know where I can change the wheel circumference for my Wahoo head units (Elemnt and Bolt)? Thanks.

Elite trainers have different ways to measure pedaling speed, depending on their structure.
On the page

https://elitesrl.zendesk.com/hc/it/arti ... -non-Elite

it is found that for the Suito the circumference value to be set in the NON Elite device must be given by the wheel circumference ratio / 24.8 (example: circumference 2335 mm (value valid for 29x2.40 wheels) / 24.8 = 94.15 mm).

For Direto the factor is 12.1 (= therefore wheel circumference / 12.1)

I'm not sure this is still valid for all trainers. I have a suito and in garmin, zwift, rouvy I input the circumference directly and it works fine. I didn't need to divide.

Zumo and direto might still require it.

With Suito and fenix 5 garmin sportwatch I divided!

strange, do you agree?

In any case, it works fine!

Yes I agree. I need to double check but I think in my garmin 530 I didn't divide.
As you said, as long as it works!

Hi guys

Basically, it depends on the type of communication selected (ant+ fe-c or ant Elite speed channel).

For example, Garmin Fenix doesn't support the ant+ fe-c controllable trainers.
So, you have to pair the trainer as if it were a speed&cadence sensor.
In this case, you have to divide the circumference.

If you use a Garmin Edge 1000, that supports the ant+ fe-c controllable trainers, you pair the trainer using the ant+ fe-c protocol instead.
In this case you don't have to divide the circumference.
