Direto XR-T stopped working mid update

I have a new Direto XR-T. I installed the myETraining app and then turned on my Direto XR-T. The lights started blinking blue. The app found the trainer, and I connected to it. Afterwards, I went to update it, and it told me I had to install another app — so I did.
In the new app, I found my Direto XR-T, and it said I had version 79 and could update to version 89. I downloaded the update and started it. After a minute or so, it told me that to continue the update, I had to unplug my trainer from the power and plug it back in after a few seconds. It said the update would resume automatically.
I unplugged the trainer, but when I plugged it back in, there were no lights anymore (neither blue nor red). The app said the update had failed, and now my trainer just doesn’t work. When I plug it in, it makes the usual noise, but there are no lights at all. I can’t connect to it, not even manually.
What can I do? This is absurd!
I opened a ticket, but no reply yet. Did this happen to anyone already? Is there a solution, or my trainer just broke down??
