FTP test- problem

Hello.
I try to run a FTP test. ANT+ is recognized. But, when I press PLAY, I receive a warning.... Warning! To run this test you must have an ANT+ or Bluetooth Smart heart rate belt.
Please help with some advise.

Yes novomescan, your trainer is connected via ant+ and this is fine. But it is recommended that you wear a cardio belt during the ftp test as it is a violent exercise.

So without a belt it is not possible to perform an FTP test if I understand you correctly?
I have a POLAR M430 watch that has no belt but measures heart rate via a sensor on my hand. Is it possible how to connect M430 and perform FTP test?

Your watch handles BLE protocol so you should be able to connect it to the application and perform the ftp test.
The message in the application is not clear to me. It is a warning but it says you must have a heart sensor. To me "warning" and "must have" don't fit together so I don't know if the sensor is mandatory.

My experience: with Garmin smartwatch the hearth broadcasting is not so good with the app.
My suggestion is to buy a belt (maybe cheaper like decathlon cardio belt).

And of course, if you want to keep it free, use the FTP test from another platform (RGT cycling is free, and among the free workouts, they do provide both types of FTP tests and no need for a connected HR monitor there)
