Incorrect cassette

Postby stephenodon » Wed Feb 24, 2021 1:07 pm

Hi I just bought a direto XR. I have a cube road bike with an 8 cassette. When I have connected to the 11 speed cassette that it came with it keeps slipping. I think that I might need to change the cassette. Is that correct? Is there a specific one I need? Thanks

You will need to change the cassette. An 8 speed bike will not work with an 11 speed cassette. I think people have been able to get an 8 speed cassette to work on a Direto XR, but I don't think it's officially supported.

Hi guys

I confirm you that 8speed is not supported.
That said, some users have been able to mount it anyway using additional spacers and with the help of their trusted mechanic.
We cannot guarantee that the gear will work properly in this configuration.
