Trainer Muin Speed Descrepancy

Postby Hornsbeef81 » Mon Apr 15, 2019 6:32 pm

Hi.
My trainer muin (which I bought from a close friend) has been demonstrating the usual power issues (Too much resistance and too high power reading) But the other day while linking to my Garmin Edge 1000 or the first time, I conducted a calibration as instructed. After this was concluded I began my ride. Only to see that with a very low cadence of 50rpm, I was developing a speed of 148mph! Try as I may, I couldn't get this to change, I attempted further calibrations and even adjusted the belt tension but no change.

Help!

Hi

Calibration is not available if you use a Turbo Muin (or maybe do you have a Real Turbo Muin instead?).
The speed issue is due to wrong circumference setting, instead.
In fact, in your Garmin you have to insert a circumference value that consider also the internal ratio of the trainer.
If you have a Turbo Muin with serial higher than 30000, you have to insert a circumference value equal to your real wheel circumference divided by 13.2.
