Direto Fault and Stuck at High Resistance

Whilst hill climbing on Zwift at 260W, I momentarily stopped and reset a reminder on my laptop. On resuming the training session, I noticed that the resistance had for some reason increased to maximum, but the indicated wattage on the screen was way down on what I would have expected. A burning rubber smell also accompanied the increase in resistance, so I terminated the session and attempted to reset the system. I have attempted to reset the resistance on Zwift and disconnected the power feed to the trainer - but it all has no effect! Has anyone else encountered a similar problem? I'm still awaiting a response from the admin team, but the trainer is only 9 months old!! : :x

Sorry guys for late reply in the latest weeks.
Here in North Italy we had two main events that have caused some delay: 1) Bridge of All Saint's (Nice) and 2) Very very bad weather with floods (Not nice).

Anyway, @mccllray I see that your assistance is on going

Regards

The normal use of Quick Motion shouldn't cause any wear to the drums.

Well here I am again! I highlighted this issue sometime ago (first comment on the forum)and after no response from Elite Customer Service fixed the issue myself. The belt had slipped and wedge against the structure increasing resistance. I have suffered with this issue numerous times since and resolved the problem. It has now got to the point where the machine is unusable as it constantly slips. Not very impressive really for the cost of the machine and I will email Customer Services yet again - but don't expect a response. Spend the extra cash and get a Wahoo as I understand that this is a common fault!! :evil:

@mccllray

We haven't received any recent email from your account.
It's probably necessary to replace the belt and the pulley.
Please write to us at myetraining@elite-it.com or info@elite-it.com.
