Re: Elite Suito stuck on high resistance

I'm unfamiliar with the Suito, but there's a similar problem going on with the Direto X and XR. One thing I found, is that there can't be any competing Bluetooth apps/devices running. For example, I ensure that I have BT turned off on my iPhone, just so that no Garmin or MyElite app is conflicting i...

Re: Direto X impossible to pedal - impossibile pedalare

I've had the same problem when using Rouvy, though people have complained about Zwift as well. What seems to work for me, is to start riding on the Directo XR for a few seconds to get it spinning, then turn on the power to the trainer. I am literally riding with the power off to start, and Rouvy or ...

Re: Direto X Resistance too high to even pedal

Hi Walter,

I've only noticed the problem with Rouvy as well. I found the cure seems to be to start pedaling for a minute or so, BEORE launching the Rouvy Workout app. Don't know why, but for me that's the fix. Rouvy support is hopeless so not expecting them to solve it.

Re: Direto XR hard resistance at the start.

Nope it's not quite like that. The flywheel is almost completely locked up. Not nearly the same as starting off on an outdoor ride, unless maybe you're starting on a 24% gradient Like outside. When you start riding you must stand up on pedals to start if you stop. Smart trainer will simulate that si...

Re: Direto XR hard resistance at the start.

How do I send a set a negative slope or low resistance from my Garmin? I have a 520 and 530. Thanks very much In my opinion, this is a bug in the Direto XR software. After connecting to the power supply, the trainer should withdraw the magnet to the lowest resistance, and only after obtaining an ext...

Re: Direto XR hard resistance at the start.

I have the EXACT same problem. I'm riding on Rouvy.

Maybe helping to narrow this down:
What virtual app are people riding?
What communication protocol (BT / Ant+)?
What do people do to break out of this mode?
What firmware version of the XR?

I never had this problem with my first-gen Direto

Re: Direto XR - resistance high after brake

I have a similar problem occasionally when I start up with Rouvy. Haven't tried yet with Zwift. The resistance is so high, I can barely turn over the pedals. Once I get a bit of movement, the whole system seems to 'relax' and behave normally again. This only happens at the start of a Rouvy session

Re: Which circumference value do I have to use?

I got a reply from Elite and they said I should set the circumference to 2100 in the MyTraining app, based on a 700x24 tire

Re: Direto Resistance Fluctuations in Level Mode

I don't know if it's the Rouvy route that I chose, but the other day, every 30-32 seconds I was getting resistance drops of about 30-40 watts. My cadence didn't change nor did the incline of the hill. This was super annoying.
