Other than the smell, did you notice anything else?
Did you notice some shards around the trainer, for example?
Or some strange noises?

Run my e-training and select level mode.
Pedal at constant speed and increase gradually the level. The resistance changes or not?

Drivo doesn't use batteries. It has a power supply.
Usually a failed calibration is due to disconnections (interference).
Please try again (also with a different device) and if the problem persists contact our customer care at myetraining@elite-it.com

En el manual es presente un procedimiento para calibrar el trainer.
