Does the mobile app work with an iPhone or ipad in the absence of having Bluetooth working yet....ie if I connect an ant dongle to the iPhone / ipad will it work?

I tried getting the desktop app to sync with strava, but kept getting script errors...is there anyway to get rid of these script errors or another way to sync with strava
