Re: Firmware 078

Hi, any update on this?
I would prefer to know the changes on this version before to install it, if it's possible.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Direto XR problems with ERG mode

Hi, this is absolutely what's happening to me. I'm doing Zwift Build me up plan, where you have many RPM changes between one interval and the other. No way to have a stable power output. When instead I can mantain the same cadence, both the transition and the stability are acceptable (some spikes, b...

Re: Direto XR problems with ERG mode

Guys I have this problem, when make a workout with cadence and power the training going crazy...I stay at the request cadence but the power is always lower, I have a external cadence sensor, smoot setted to 5, small anterior chain ring and 19 or 21 gear rear. Hi, Can you add some numbers? Target po...

Re: Direto XR problems with ERG mode

Hi skvedo, If you look at the first pages of this thread you can find some CSV I shared with elite. They said oscillations are normal, and mostly due to cadence variation and the extreme precision/accuracy of their trainer. I still think that my oscillations were (and are) too big, but I accepted it...

Re: Direto XR problems with ERG mode

Hi Martin, I noticed that, when it settle down a value lower than the target, slowing the cadence will help. So exactly the opposite of what our brain suggests. This because slowing the cadence triggers the Direto to increase the resistance and recompute the requested effort. Once you get closer to ...

Re: Direto XR problems with ERG mode

So I did some more testing today. First Elite asked me to sent them a csv file of a workout in POWER mode (100,200,100,250,100,300,100 Watt). I noticed that the XR reacted rather quick to a (manual) power change, see the picture (I ended up having my wife operating the mouse so that I could focus o...

Re: Direto XR problems with ERG mode

Just performed JohandeWit workout in Zwift, and here are the results. The test was done with smoothing 2, and a 36x23 gear. Ignore the first seconds, it got stuck with the ERG bug, and had to put some watts to get it moving. Screen Shot 2020-11-24 at 6.45.35 PM.png Quite happy with the results to b...

Re: Direto XR problems with ERG mode

Hi, I think I've tried almost all of the possible linear combination of gear/rpm/smoothing... Ok, best results with 34/18 or there close... But I've never reached the results reported by elite949. Using smoothing 6 and maintaining a "Zen" level in cadence stability I can have low variance ...

Re: Direto XR problems with ERG mode

I have attached a graph from my work out. Towards the right hand side you can see that the power drops considerably. My heart rate flattens and starts to lower, but you can also see in the cadence graph,I lifted the rpm, it was from 98 to 105+ to 'chase' the power up. It simply would not increase. ...
